The GAO Group, a global technology company specializing in AI, electronics, and digital solutions, is seeking a motivated HR & Recruitment Intern to join its AI-powered HR team. Based in New York and Toronto, the organization supports innovation and growth internationally. This remote internship, preferably based in Canada, offers a unique opportunity to gain real-world experience over 3 to 6 months in cutting-edge recruitment practices, talent development, and HR technology tools. The intern will collaborate closely with senior managers and global teams, supporting critical hiring and team management functions using smart platforms.
Key responsibilities include managing the entire initial recruitment cycle: posting jobs, efficiently screening resumes, and scheduling candidate interviews. The intern will gain hands-on experience using advanced AI tools for talent tracking and resume review. Furthermore, the role involves extensive professional communication with candidates and team leads via email and LinkedIn, assisting with new employee onboarding, maintaining accurate HR data, and coordinating intern activities. Ideal candidates are those studying or having graduated from HR, Business, or Technology fields, who possess a strong interest in AI and recruitment technology. While not mandatory, fluency in Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is preferred. The successful intern must be proactive, responsible, and capable of working independently in a flexible, global, remote environment. Upon successful completion, the intern will receive three official internship certificates.
Key Requirements
Post jobs and maintain job boards across various platforms.
Screen and evaluate candidate resumes efficiently, handling large volumes of applicants.
Coordinate and schedule interviews with candidates and hiring managers, managing complex calendars.
Proficiency in utilizing AI tools for recruitment processes, including resume parsing, review, and talent tracking.
Excellent communication skills for professional correspondence with candidates and team leads via email and LinkedIn.
Assist in new employee onboarding procedures and ensure a smooth transition.
Handle HR data management, maintain accurate intern records, and ensure compliance.
Support reporting activities and follow-up with country HR teams on recruitment metrics.
Currently studying or possess a degree in HR, Business, Technology, or a related discipline.
Demonstrated interest in AI and recruitment technology innovations.
Ability to work independently and demonstrate a proactive, responsible attitude in a remote environment.
Fluency in Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is preferred but not mandatory for this role.
