SENIOR QA AUTOMATION LEAD @ TECHSTAR GROUP
Techstar Group is seeking a highly experienced Senior QA Automation Lead to join our dynamic team and drive the quality assurance strategy. This role is designed for a veteran professional with over 12 years of experience who can provide technical leadership and architectural guidance in the automation space. While the position is remote, preference will be given to candidates located in Dallas, Texas. The successful candidate will be instrumental in ensuring the high quality of our software releases through rigorous automated testing protocols. The role offers a competitive rate of $60/hr on C2C or 1099 contracts. Candidates must have excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. Key responsibilities include designing frameworks, managing CI/CD integrations, and performing detailed code reviews to maintain high coding standards within the automation team. You will be expected to utilize your deep technical expertise to solve complex testing challenges and mentor junior engineers in the best practices of modern software development life cycles.
Key Requirements
Minimum of 12 years of experience in QA Automation.
Expertise in UI and API test automation.
Hands-on proficiency with Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress.
Strong coding skills in Java, Python, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
Proven ability to design and maintain scalable automation frameworks.
Deep knowledge of CI/CD pipelines including Jenkins and GitHub Actions.
Extensive experience with REST API testing and Postman.
Thorough understanding of QA processes and test strategy planning.
Working experience in Agile and Scrum environments.
Proficiency with Git version control and performing code reviews.
