SENIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEER – RETAIL SYSTEMS @ TARGET
Target is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our expanding technology division in India. This role focuses on developing and optimizing retail systems that support our global operations and enhance the guest experience across all digital platforms. You will work within a collaborative team of engineers, product owners, and designers to build scalable, high-performance software solutions using modern technologies and cloud infrastructure.
You will be responsible for the full software development lifecycle, from system design and architecture to deployment and maintenance. This is a critical role for our technology team as we continue to innovate in the e-commerce and retail tech space. The annual salary range for tech and leadership roles is listed between $180,000 and $250,000+, which will be adjusted based on local market standards and experience.

Key Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field.
At least 7 years of professional software development experience.
Deep expertise in Java, Python, or Go programming languages.
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
Solid understanding of microservices architecture and system design.
Proficiency in CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practices.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
Ability to mentor junior engineers and conduct code reviews.
Previous experience in retail or e-commerce technology is a plus.
