MERCHANT BUSINESS OPERATIONS SUPPORT OFFICER @ TANZANIA EMPOWERMENT FORUM LIMITED (TEF CONSULT)
Tanzania Empowerment Forum Limited (TEF Consult) is seeking a qualified candidate to join their team as a Merchant Business Operations Support Officer. This role is specifically designed for professionals with a solid foundation in merchant onboarding, operational support, and the mobile money ecosystem. The primary objective of the position is to manage the end-to-end setup of merchant accounts while ensuring strict adherence to KYC compliance and internal operational controls. By providing high-level support, the successful candidate will help maintain a smooth and efficient service for all partners and stakeholders involved.
In addition to operational setup, the role involves managing change requests, coordinating the resolution of complex merchant queries, and supporting financial processes such as bank sweep configurations and funds allocation. Candidates will be expected to prepare regular operational and performance reports to track efficiency and compliance. This position offers a dynamic work environment for individuals who are detail-oriented, customer-focused, and eager to contribute to operational excellence within the fintech and telecom sectors in Tanzania.

Key Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, IT, or related field
Experience in telecom, fintech, or financial services is an added advantage
Strong Excel and reporting skills
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
Detail-oriented and customer-focused approach
Passion for operational excellence
Ability to support merchant onboarding and account activation
Knowledge of managing change requests and product updates
Capability to coordinate resolution of merchant queries across internal teams
