Tanzania Empowerment Forum Limited (TEF Consult) is inviting qualified candidates to apply for the position of Merchant Business Operations Support Officer. This role is ideal for professionals with experience in merchant onboarding, operational support, and mobile money ecosystems. The successful candidate will support end-to-end merchant account setup, KYC compliance, operational controls, and second-level partner support to deliver smooth, efficient service. The officer will act as a bridge between the merchants and internal technical teams to ensure seamless integration and operational stability.
Key responsibilities involve managing merchant onboarding and account activation support, along with processing change requests and product updates. The officer will coordinate the resolution of merchant queries across internal teams and support bank sweep configurations and funds allocation processes. Additionally, preparing operational and performance reports while ensuring compliance with KYC and internal control processes is essential for maintaining high standards of service delivery within the organization. Candidates are expected to be detail-oriented, customer-focused, and passionate about driving operational excellence.

Key Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, IT, or a related field.
Previous experience in telecom, fintech, or financial services industries.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data reporting tools.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
High level of attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
Strong customer-focused mindset with a dedication to service quality.
Proven ability to handle merchant onboarding and account activation.
Knowledge of KYC (Know Your Customer) and internal control processes.
Capacity to coordinate resolution of complex merchant queries across teams.
Understanding of mobile money ecosystems and operational support frameworks.
