INFRASTRUCTURE ENGINEER @ TAMARIND BIO
Tamarind Bio is looking for an Infrastructure Engineer to join their fast-growing, founder-led team in San Francisco. This role is central to scaling the infrastructure of an AI-powered drug discovery platform that is revolutionizing the design of life-saving medicines. You will be responsible for building and maintaining core infrastructure using cutting-edge cloud technologies, ensuring the platform can support the company's rapid growth and impressive $1.5M ARR. This is an impactful opportunity to own the infrastructure scaling for a mission-driven startup.
The ideal candidate will have over three years of backend experience, although highly talented new graduates are also welcome to apply. You should have a strong understanding of cloud infrastructure principles, preferably with AWS, and experience with containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes. The position is based onsite at the San Francisco headquarters located at 2325 3rd Street for approximately five days a week. The role is a full-time position with a salary range of $180,000 to $250,000 per year, and an immediate start is preferred.

Key Requirements
Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure principles (AWS preferred).
Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
At least 3 years of backend software engineering experience.
Proficiency in Python programming for infrastructure and backend tasks.
Ability to build and maintain core infrastructure using cutting-edge technologies.
Willingness to work onsite in San Francisco 5 days per week.
Experience with machine learning infrastructure or bioinformatics is a plus.
Strong knowledge of infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
Familiarity with scaling AI-powered drug discovery platforms or similar scale-up systems.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, founder-led startup environment.
Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practices.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for complex architectural challenges.
