Talent Grid Africa is recruiting on behalf of a leading provider of smart, prepaid sub-metering solutions for electricity, water, and gas. Our client serves landlords, property managers, and businesses across Kenya and is seeking a commercially sharp Sales and Marketing Manager to provide long-term stability and strategic leadership to an already established department. This is not a desk-bound role; it requires a field-oriented leader who understands regional market dynamics, thrives on performance targets, and can build high-impact sales structures across multiple territories including Nairobi, Mombasa, and various upcountry regions. The compensation for this position is KES 80,000 – 100,000 per month, with travel and per diem provided. The successful candidate will lead and manage regional sales teams, drive a monthly target of approximately 3,000 prepaid meters, and grow agent, dealer, and reseller networks. Key responsibilities include ensuring accurate daily and weekly reporting, KPI tracking, pipeline management, and coordinating with outsourced digital marketing teams to convert inbound leads. You will also support new product launches, such as the upcoming gas meter range, while providing market intelligence and competitor insights to management. This role is ideal for a performance-driven professional ready to scale impact within a fast-paced environment.
Key Requirements
Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in field sales or sales management.
Background in technical, engineering, metering, FMCG, insurance or similar industries.
Proven track record of consistently exceeding sales targets.
Experience managing multi-regional teams across different territories.
Strong CRM, reporting, and digital lead management capability.
Willingness to travel extensively nationwide to oversee operations.
Ability to lead and manage regional sales teams across the country.
Skills in growing and supporting agent, dealer, and reseller networks.
Experience in ensuring accurate KPI tracking and pipeline management.
Capability to coordinate with digital marketing teams for lead conversion.
