Symmetra is seeking a dedicated Mechanical Technical Office Engineer to join our growing engineering department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing detailed shop drawings, coordinating with site teams, and ensuring that all mechanical installations align with project specifications for residential and commercial developments. You will play a crucial role in maintaining technical documentation and managing the submittal process to ensure project milestones are met efficiently. In this position, you will utilize your mechanical engineering expertise to solve complex technical challenges and provide support during various construction phases. Successful applicants must demonstrate a strong understanding of HVAC, plumbing, and firefighting systems, combined with the ability to manage technical office workflows effectively. Key Requirements
At least 2-6 years of professional experience in technical office engineering.
Proven track record in residential and commercial building projects.
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Expert proficiency in AutoCAD for engineering design and detailing.
Extensive knowledge of international MEP codes and local construction standards.
Capability to produce accurate shop drawings and as-built documentation.
Strong skills in quantity take-offs and cost estimation for project materials.
Experience managing technical submittals, RFIs, and material approvals.
Excellent coordination skills to work effectively with site teams and subcontractors.
High level of analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities in technical contexts.
