FINANCE MANAGER (NPO/CHARITY) @ SWATI SHARMA
This is an exciting opportunity for a Finance Manager to join a Non-Profit Organization (NPO) or Charity in North York. The role is initially a one-month contract with the potential to transition into a permanent position. The successful candidate will be a hands-on CPA or someone near completion of their designation, bringing specialized expertise to a dynamic environment. You will be responsible for full-cycle accounting and ensuring the smooth execution of month-end closing processes using QuickBooks. Beyond standard accounting, you will manage diversified revenue streams including donations, grants, and rentals, ensuring strict compliance with ASPE standards for NPOs. The role involves supervising one bookkeeper and requires a presence on-site five days a week in North York. This is a critical position that supports the financial health and transparency of a charitable organization, requiring a dedicated professional with a background in the NPO sector.
Key Requirements
CPA designation or near completion.
Previous experience working with Non-Profit Organizations (NPO) or Charities.
Proficiency in full-cycle accounting and month-end closing processes.
Hands-on experience using QuickBooks software.
Knowledge of ASPE standards specifically for NPOs.
Experience managing diversified revenue streams like donations, grants, and rentals.
Supervisory experience, specifically managing a bookkeeper.
Ability to work on-site in North York 5 days a week.
Strong analytical and financial reporting skills.
Excellent communication skills for stakeholder management.
