As a Senior ServiceNow Developer specializing in the Telecom domain, you will act as a critical Subject Matter Expert (SME) within a hybrid work environment based in Reston, Virginia. In this role, you will collaborate directly with architects and technical leads to design, develop, and configure highly scalable ServiceNow solutions tailored for a leading telecom client. Your leadership will be pivotal as you mentor development teams and contribute to high-level technical and design decisions that shape the future of the client's service management infrastructure. Your hands-on expertise will be required in navigating complex modules including OMT, TSOM, TSM, TNI, CMDB, and SOMT to ensure seamless operations and service delivery. Beyond core development, you will be responsible for the full lifecycle of ServiceNow applications, from initial customization and workflow creation to system monitoring and troubleshooting. You will leverage Integration Hub and Flow Designer to build efficient automations and integrate ServiceNow with various enterprise systems using APIs and web services. The role also encompasses performing system upgrades, managing patches, and maintaining rigorous technical documentation to support system transparency and scalability. Key Requirements
Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in information technology and software development.
At least 10 years of deep hands-on experience specifically with ServiceNow ITSM modules.
Demonstrated expertise with 10+ years of experience in ServiceNow ITOM modules.
Recent and relevant professional experience working with a large-scale Telecom client.
Must hold an active ServiceNow Certification such as CSA, CAD, or CIS.
Advanced proficiency in OMT, TSOM, TSM, TNI, CMDB, and SOMT modules.
Expert-level skills in using ServiceNow Integration Hub and Flow Designer.
Proven ability to customize ServiceNow applications, including business rules, client scripts, and UI policies.
Experience integrating ServiceNow with external enterprise systems via REST/SOAP APIs and web services.
Strong leadership capabilities with experience mentoring technical teams and driving architectural decisions.
Excellent technical documentation skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex system issues.
Ability to work in a hybrid model and reside locally near Reston, VA.
