ASIAN SALES - BANQUET @ SHERATON NEW DELHI HOTEL
The Asian Sales - Banquet role focuses on driving revenue through securing and managing banquet and event sales, specifically targeting clients interested in Asian-themed events, weddings, and large cultural gatherings. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, maintaining relationships with key corporate and private clients, and exceeding defined sales targets for the banquet facilities. This requires deep market knowledge, particularly concerning Asian clientele and event preferences. Key duties include preparing detailed proposals, conducting site inspections, negotiating contracts, and coordinating with the Food & Beverage and Operations teams to ensure flawless execution of all booked events. The individual must be adept at maximizing occupancy and yield for the hotel's meeting and banquet spaces, utilizing persuasive selling techniques, and providing exceptional customer service tailored to the specific needs of the Asian market segment.
Key Requirements
Proven sales experience, preferably in banquet or MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, Exhibitions) sales.
Specific experience or proficiency in targeting and serving the Asian market segment.
Excellent negotiation and contract management skills.
Strong knowledge of hotel banquet facilities and event planning logistics.
Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed challenging sales targets.
Exceptional interpersonal and presentation skills.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, based on event schedules.
Familiarity with sales tracking software (e.g., Delphi, Salesforce).
A bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or Business is preferred.
Fluency in relevant Asian languages (e.g., Mandarin, Japanese, Korean) is highly desirable but not mandatory if market knowledge is strong.
