SHOP VALVE TECHNICIAN @ SENTRY
Sentry is seeking a dedicated Shop Valve Technician (Wellhead & Frac Valve Technician) to join their team in Canonsburg, Pennsylvania. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, inspection, repair, and maintenance of wellhead equipment and frac valves during drilling and hydraulic fracturing operations. This role is critical for ensuring the operational efficiency and safety of high-pressure field environments, requiring hands-on mechanical expertise and a strong commitment to safety protocols.
Key responsibilities include performing pressure testing on valves and related equipment, troubleshooting complex mechanical issues, and maintaining accurate service and inspection records. The position operates primarily in field locations with exposure to high-pressure systems and heavy equipment, requiring strict adherence to HSE policies. Key Requirements
High school diploma or GED (technical certification preferred).
2+ years of experience with wellhead systems or frac valve maintenance.
Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with hydraulic systems.
Experience with high-pressure iron and frac equipment.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Ability to pass drug screening and background checks.
Experience in hydraulic fracturing operations and knowledge of API standards.
Forklift or crane certification is highly preferred.
H2S certification and PEC/Safeland training qualifications.
Ability to lift 50–100 lbs regularly and work in extreme weather conditions.
