SENIOR JAVA BACKEND ENGINEER WITH DEVOPS EXPERIENCE @ S3CONNECTIONS
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Java Backend Engineer with extensive experience in cloud-native development on Microsoft Azure. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in the Micronaut framework, microservices architecture, and container orchestration using Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS). You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable enterprise frameworks and building resilient backend systems that support high performance and availability.
In this role, you will also focus on DevOps practices, specifically creating and managing CI/CD pipelines within Azure DevOps (ADO). Key tasks include developing batch processing jobs, integrating systems via messaging platforms like Kafka or Service Bus, and ensuring data integrity through efficient JDBC and SQL handling. We look for proactive individuals with strong problem-solving skills who can collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including QA and Product, to deliver high-quality software solutions following best practices in security and observability.

Key Requirements
Minimum of 12 years of professional software development experience.
At least 8 years of specialized experience in Java backend development.
Deep expertise and hands-on experience with the Micronaut framework.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure cloud services and cloud-native development.
Hands-on experience with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and container orchestration.
Proficiency in Azure DevOps (ADO) for CI/CD pipeline creation and management.
Solid understanding of microservices architecture and enterprise-level frameworks.
Experience with batch processing, job scheduling, and asynchronous workflows.
Proficiency in messaging systems such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or Azure Service Bus.
Strong knowledge of JDBC, SQL, and relational database design principles.
Practical experience with containerization technologies like Docker.
