We are actively seeking three experienced and dynamic Project Electrical Engineers to lead complex solar power initiatives in Zanzibar, Tanzania. The ideal candidates will possess significant hands-on experience spanning 3 to 5 years, specifically within ground-mounted solar projects, hybrid solar systems, and associated substation works. This role is central to the successful execution, coordination, monitoring, and timely completion of solar power projects on site.
The key focus areas include executing and supervising ground-mounted solar PV projects from initial planning through final commissioning. You will also be responsible for managing hybrid solar projects, ensuring seamless integration with DG sets and battery systems. Furthermore, the role demands strong oversight of substation activities, including installation, testing, and commissioning. Success in this position requires meticulous attention to detail, proficiency in reviewing technical documents (drawings, BOQ, specifications), and a steadfast commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and quality while adhering to project timelines and local regulations.
Key Requirements
3-5 years of hands-on experience in ground-mounted solar projects.
Proven experience in implementing hybrid solar systems, including integration with DG sets and battery systems.
Expertise in coordinating and overseeing substation installation, testing, and commissioning activities.
Ability to review engineering drawings, BOQ, technical specifications, and effectively manage project schedules.
Strong ability to monitor site activities ensuring strict compliance with safety, quality, and timeline requirements.
Excellent coordination skills for liaising with contractors, vendors, consultants, and client representatives.
Proficiency in preparing daily/weekly progress reports and maintaining comprehensive project documentation.
Ensure strict adherence to local regulations, project standards, and safety norms applicable in Tanzania.
Capable of providing effective troubleshooting and technical issue resolution during all phases of project execution.
Strong understanding of solar PV technology and electrical principles.
