GROUP HEAD OF INTERNAL AUDIT (LEADERSHIP ROLE) @ REDENVELOPE
redenvelope is seeking a seasoned Group Head of Internal Audit to lead and build a comprehensive Internal Audit function from the ground up in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. This strategic leadership role involves reporting directly to the Board of Directors and taking charge of the company's governance and risk management frameworks. The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing the department according to global standards (IPPF) and ensuring that all business units are aligned with the company's strategic objectives. The role requires extensive travel and a hands-on approach to implementing modern audit tools and forensic techniques to ensure organizational integrity. You will be expected to drive process improvements, standardize internal controls, and mentor a high-performing audit team. This is a unique opportunity for a professional who can move beyond simple compliance to drive strategic, risk-focused audit practices across a multi-sector organization. The position is based in Dar es Salaam with regular travel requirements to various business units to conduct forensic and surprise audits.
Key Requirements
Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification.
At least 15 years of experience in Internal Audit.
Mandatory CIA certification.
Six Sigma certification preferred.
Proven expertise in risk-based auditing.
Experience in multi-sector business environments.
Strong track record of setting up audit functions from scratch.
Willingness to travel extensively.
Proficiency in implementing modern audit tools and CAATs.
Strong leadership and team mentoring skills.
