SENIOR AZURE ENGINEER @ QUICK FOX CONSULTING
As a Senior Azure Engineer within the Banking and Financial sector in Sydney, you will be a key driver in enhancing digital resilience through advanced disaster recovery automation and rapid environment restoration. Your primary focus will be leading the Terraform-led Infrastructure as Code (IaC) transformation, ensuring that the cloud infrastructure is robust, immutable, and scalable. You will design recovery runbooks and implement secure backup strategies to meet enterprise-level standards for business-critical continuity.
Working in a hybrid environment, you will collaborate closely with stakeholders to align technical solutions with RTO and RPO priorities. This role demands a high level of expertise in Azure, Kubernetes, and modern CI/CD practices. With over 10 years of experience, you will provide technical leadership and architectural guidance to ensure the infrastructure meets the rigorous security and compliance requirements of the financial industry. Key Requirements
Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in cloud engineering or related roles.
Deep technical expertise in Microsoft Azure cloud platform and services.
Strong proficiency in Terraform for Infrastructure as Code (IaC) transformation.
Advanced experience with Kubernetes (AKS) and container orchestration strategies.
Proven track record in Disaster Recovery (DR) automation and environment restoration.
Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and Azure DevOps integration.
Ability to design and implement immutable backup designs for enterprise scale.
Experience in stakeholder alignment specifically regarding RTO and RPO priorities.
Prior experience working within the Banking or Financial services sector.
Must possess valid Australian work rights (Citizen, PR, TR, or Valid Work Visa).
