As an Electric Project Manager for Distribution, you will play a pivotal role in the planning, execution, and finalization of high-impact electrical infrastructure projects. You will be responsible for overseeing the entire project lifecycle, ensuring that all distribution initiatives meet strict deadlines, budgets, and quality standards. This role requires a high level of coordination between engineers, consultants, and internal stakeholders to keep communities powered efficiently and safely. Your primary focus will be supporting a diverse electric distribution project portfolio while maintaining a safe and high-quality work environment.

Your daily responsibilities will include leading cross-functional teams, managing complex project schedules using tools like Primavera P6, and conducting thorough risk assessments to protect project integrity. You will also be tasked with budget tracking and financial reporting to leadership, ensuring all activities comply with federal, state, and local regulatory requirements. This is a hybrid position based in Cupertino, CA, offering a dynamic environment for an experienced professional to drive continuous improvement and implement best practices in utility infrastructure. The role requires a collaborative mindset and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Key Requirements

Minimum of 5–10 years of professional Project Management experience. Strong utility industry experience is highly preferred for this role. Proficiency in SAP software for project tracking and management. Hands-on experience with Primavera P6 for scheduling and resource management. PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is preferred but not required. Proven ability to lead the planning, design, and execution phases of electrical distribution projects. Expertise in coordinating cross-functional teams, including engineers and contractors. Demonstrated skill in developing and tracking project budgets and financials. Ability to perform detailed risk assessments and implement effective mitigation strategies. Comprehensive knowledge of federal, state, and local utility regulations and compliance standards. Excellent communication skills for updating leadership and stakeholders. Strong organizational and planning skills to manage multiple project streams.
