QUALITY ASSURANCE MANAGER @ PLATINUM DIRECT HIRE
Seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Manager for a significant role within a non-unionized manufacturing facility located in Windsor, Canada. This position, facilitated by Platinum Direct Hire, requires a highly skilled professional capable of overseeing all aspects of quality control and assurance programs to ensure compliance with industry standards and internal quality metrics. The successful candidate will play a critical role in maintaining the high standard of products manufactured by the company. Key responsibilities will include developing, implementing, and managing robust Quality Management Systems (QMS). The Manager will lead quality teams, conduct thorough internal and external supplier audits, manage corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) processes, and drive continuous improvement initiatives across all production cycles. Experience within a fast-paced manufacturing environment and deep knowledge of relevant quality certifications (e.g., ISO 9001, TS 16949) are essential for success in this demanding leadership position.
Key Requirements
Proven experience as a Quality Assurance Manager, preferably within a non-unionized manufacturing environment.
Deep understanding and practical application of Quality Management Systems (QMS), such as ISO 9001.
Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and manage a quality control and assurance team effectively.
Proficiency in conducting internal and supplier audits, risk assessment, and implementing robust corrective actions (CAPA).
Strong knowledge of statistical process control (SPC) and continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., FMEA, Six Sigma).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for documentation, reporting, and regulatory compliance.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).
Ability to interpret complex technical drawings, specifications, and regulatory standards relevant to the manufacturing sector.
Experience driving operational efficiency and reducing defects/scrap rates across production lines.
Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
