SENIOR SOLAR PROJECT ENGINEER @ PFISTER ENERGY
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Solar Project Engineer to spearhead the technical design and engineering execution for our portfolio of solar projects in New Jersey. This position benefits from remote/hybrid flexibility, requiring a deep commitment to technical excellence and compliance with all relevant codes and standards. The Senior Engineer will lead system design, including electrical single-line diagrams, site layouts, equipment specifications, and energy yield modeling, ensuring optimal performance and reliability for every project.
Responsibilities also include collaborating closely with the Preconstruction and Construction teams to resolve complex technical challenges, manage interconnection applications, and support the successful permitting process across various jurisdictions in New Jersey. The ideal candidate will be a mentor to junior staff and possess significant experience managing engineering deliverables for large-scale solar installations.

Key Requirements
Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in solar photovoltaic (PV) system design and engineering.
Deep expertise in electrical calculations, system modeling, performance simulation (e.g., PVSyst), and technical analysis.
High proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD) for generating detailed electrical and structural layouts.
Strong knowledge of NEC standards and familiarity with interconnection requirements and permitting processes in NJ.
Ability to mentor and provide technical guidance and oversight to junior engineers and design staff.
Excellent problem-solving skills, capable of resolving complex technical challenges during design and construction.
Strong understanding of construction processes and site integration methods for solar arrays.
Professional Engineering (P.E.) license in New Jersey or ability to obtain one quickly is highly desirable.
Demonstrated ability to manage engineering deliverables and timelines for multiple concurrent projects.
Must be effective and collaborative in a remote/hybrid work environment based near New Jersey operations.
