PRECONSTRUCTION PROJECT MANAGER @ PFISTER ENERGY
Pfister Energy is hiring a dedicated Preconstruction Project Manager to join our team, focusing primarily on commercial and utility-scale solar projects in New Jersey. This role offers the flexibility of remote or hybrid work arrangements, requiring the candidate to efficiently manage the critical stages leading up to physical construction. The Preconstruction Project Manager will be responsible for ensuring project feasibility, developing comprehensive cost estimates, managing design reviews, and coordinating the bidding and procurement processes with subcontractors and vendors.
Key duties involve detailed budget analysis, value engineering, risk mitigation, and scheduling the pre-build timeline. The successful candidate must possess strong analytical skills and be adept at communicating technical and financial data to internal teams and external stakeholders, ensuring a smooth, cost-effective transition from concept development to construction readiness in the New Jersey market.

Key Requirements
Proven experience (5+ years) in preconstruction management or estimating, preferably within the solar or renewable energy sector.
Expert skills in detailed cost estimating, budgeting, and performing value engineering analysis.
Ability to perform comprehensive design reviews and manage the subcontractor bidding and qualification process.
Excellent organizational, documentation, and contract management skills.
Proficiency with industry-standard project management software and relevant estimating tools.
Deep understanding of the solar project development lifecycle, zoning laws, and permitting processes in New Jersey.
Strong negotiation and advanced communication abilities to manage internal and external relationships.
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a closely related technical field.
Must be self-motivated and effective in a remote work setting with flexibility for hybrid requirements in New Jersey.
Demonstrated ability to identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
