Patterson Group is hiring an Air System Mechanic to manage the pneumatic and air-based systems of our vehicle fleet in Dar es Salaam. This specialized role involves the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of air brakes, valves, and compressors. Given the nature of our fleet, having specific expertise in the air system configurations of Scania trucks is a significant advantage.

You will be responsible for ensuring that all air systems are functioning correctly to prevent accidents and operational delays. This role requires a meticulous approach to technical work and a deep understanding of air system dynamics within heavy-duty vehicles.

Key Requirements
Minimum of 5 years of experience specializing in air systems.
Strong experience working with Scania truck pneumatic systems.
Expertise in troubleshooting and repairing air brakes and valves.
Ability to read and interpret pneumatic system blueprints.
Commitment to maintaining rigorous safety standards in the workshop.
Relevant professional certification in mechanical or pneumatic systems.
Ability to perform system testing and validation after repairs.
Knowledge of air compressor operation and maintenance.
Strong analytical skills to identify root causes of system failures.
Ability to collaborate with other mechanics for comprehensive vehicle care.
