Pathways to Independence is seeking a visionary and highly capable Executive Director to lead this highly respected nonprofit organization into its next phase of growth and impact. The organization is dedicated to serving individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) by fostering social connection, building essential life skills, and promoting deep community engagement. The Director's role is critical in ensuring that individuals who are too often overlooked find a strong sense of belonging, build self-confidence, and access meaningful friendships and opportunities that enrich their lives.

This opportunity calls for a mission-driven and relationship-oriented leader who excels in a hands-on environment. The ideal candidate will balance a commitment to operational excellence with the cultivation of a healthy, supportive organizational culture. The Executive Director will be responsible for strategic planning, fundraising, financial oversight, program management, and leading a dedicated team to fulfill the organization's critical mission. The position offers a competitive salary range of $130,000-$150,000 annually, complemented by excellent benefits.

Key Requirements

Demonstrated experience in executive leadership within a nonprofit environment. Strong commitment to and understanding of services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD). Proven ability to maintain operational excellence and financial stability. Excellent relationship-building skills for community partners, staff, and stakeholders. Experience with fundraising, grant writing, and donor relations. Ability to foster and maintain a healthy and supportive organizational culture. Strategic planning and execution capabilities to guide organizational growth. Financial acumen and experience overseeing budgets and regulatory compliance. Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred in a relevant field (e.g., Non-Profit Management, Social Work). Must be a hands-on leader capable of managing day-to-day operations while focusing on long-term strategy.
