SENIOR ORACLE DBA @ PANASIA GROUP
As a Senior Oracle DBA, you will play a critical role in managing the core databases of a leading banking institution. Your focus will be on ensuring the high performance, security, and availability of Oracle databases running on MidRange and Wintel platforms. This involves comprehensive database administration including performance tuning, backup and recovery procedures, and the execution of disaster recovery strategies. The role is onsite in Kuala Lumpur on a yearly contract that is extendable based on performance. It is exclusively open to Malaysian citizens. You will be responsible for the entire database lifecycle, from installation and configuration to patching and upgrades. Working in a mission-critical banking environment, you will proactively monitor database health and resolve any issues that could impact financial operations. Your expertise will be essential in maintaining the integrity of sensitive financial data.
Key Requirements
5-8 years of experience as an Oracle Database Administrator.
Strong experience managing databases on MidRange and Wintel platforms.
Expertise in Oracle database performance tuning and optimization.
Proven skills in implementing backup and recovery strategies.
Hands-on experience with Disaster Recovery (DR) drills and planning.
Knowledge of Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC) and Data Guard.
Experience with database patching, upgrades, and migration projects.
Proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL scripting for automation.
Ability to maintain high standards of database security and compliance.
Malaysian citizenship is a requirement for this onsite role.
