IT MANAGER – GOVERNANCE & COMPLIANCE @ OPERAXIS
Operaxis is seeking a dedicated IT Manager specializing in Governance and Compliance to join our team in Atlanta, GA. This hybrid role involves leading process and governance oversight, ensuring that all IT project requests strictly adhere to internal frameworks, enterprise architecture standards, and regulatory requirements. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting governance boards, managing critical compliance documentation, and facilitating a seamless project intake process while fostering continuous improvement across all IT operations. In this capacity, you will be responsible for developing and reviewing IT policies, preparing projects for high-level governance review, and collaborating closely with architects and cybersecurity teams to assess strategic alignment. Beyond the technical aspects, you will serve as a vital liaison between business units and IT, communicating timelines and governance outcomes to stakeholders. This role requires local candidates who can commute to the Atlanta office 1-2 days per week to engage in onsite collaboration and maintain the quality metrics reporting essential for organizational success.
Key Requirements
Associate’s or higher degree in IT, Business, Operations, or related field
3–5+ years of Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) experience
3+ years developing and maintaining IT policy documentation
Experience facilitating IT governance and compliance communication
Experience documenting and escalating policy violations
Strong understanding of IT Governance frameworks and SDLC
Knowledge of Data privacy and cybersecurity standards
Strong analytical, organizational, and leadership skills
Excellent written and verbal communication in English
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
