BI ENGINEER @ NYTP CORP
NYTP Corp is looking for an experienced BI Engineer to join their team in Overland Park, Kansas. The role primarily focuses on leveraging Amazon QuickSight to design interactive dashboards and enterprise reporting solutions. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with business and data teams to understand reporting requirements and translate them into scalable BI solutions, ensuring that datasets are available and optimized for performance and cost efficiency.
Additional responsibilities include establishing BI standards and governance, maintaining detailed documentation for datasets and metrics, and implementing naming conventions and versioning. The candidate will monitor and tune query performance across AWS services like Athena and Redshift, aiming to provide cost-efficient reporting architectures. This position requires a strong understanding of data visualization best practices and the ability to enable self-service analytics for a diverse group of business users.

Key Requirements
At least 8 years of experience in Business Intelligence, Analytics Engineering, or Data Visualization.
Strong hands-on experience with Amazon QuickSight for enterprise reporting.
Solid knowledge of SQL and professional data modeling techniques.
Experience working with AWS analytics services including Athena, Redshift, S3, and Glue.
Ability to identify and implement cost-efficient reporting architectures on AWS.
Experience designing interactive dashboards and translating business needs into technical solutions.
Proven track record of monitoring and tuning query performance across complex data sources.
Ability to establish BI standards, governance, and comprehensive documentation for datasets.
Experience enabling self-service analytics frameworks for various business stakeholders.
Familiarity with data pipelines, ETL frameworks, and QuickSight themes or templates.
