NYC Health + Hospitals Lincoln Medical and Mental Health Center is seeking a dedicated Nurse Educator specializing in Behavioral Health to elevate our psychiatric nursing programs. In this role, you will be instrumental in empowering our Behavioral Health staff through the creation and execution of innovative training and professional development initiatives.

Your primary responsibilities will involve designing and implementing nursing orientation and staff development programs specifically for Behavioral Health services. You will be tasked with assessing the educational needs of the department and developing curricula based on ANA Standards to ensure clinical excellence. Additionally, you will conduct competency assessments to guarantee quality patient outcomes and collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to enhance the overall standard of clinical care within the facility. Key Requirements

Master’s Degree in Nursing or a related field (Nursing Education specialty preferred). Valid New York State (NYS) Registered Nurse (RN) License. A minimum of 3 years of clinical experience as a Registered Nurse. At least 1 year of experience in nursing education or training in a specialty area. Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA). Proven ability to design and implement comprehensive nursing orientation programs. Experience in assessing educational needs and developing curricula based on professional standards. Ability to conduct rigorous clinical competency assessments for staff. Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with multidisciplinary clinical teams. Excellent communication skills for delivering training and educational materials. Knowledge of Behavioral Health and psychiatric nursing best practices.
