DATA ENGINEERING (MTS-3) @ NIELSEN
Join our technical team in Bangalore as a Member of Technical Staff (MTS-3) focused on building the future of AI and data platforms. This role is dedicated to scaling our data lakes, data warehouses, and real-time processing capabilities to support global product initiatives. You will be responsible for solving complex distributed systems problems and building high-performance architectures that serve millions of requests efficiently. Your technical contributions will help the team manage large-scale storage and messaging systems using the latest AWS technologies. This position requires a solid engineering background and the ability to work in a fast-paced, product-driven environment. As part of our data engineering mission, you will master tools like Apache Airflow and Spark to ensure efficient data orchestration and compute workloads. Your work will directly impact the performance and reliability of our mission-critical data infrastructure.
Key Requirements
Minimum 5 to 8 years of professional experience in data engineering.
Deep technical expertise in Trino and Presto query engines.
Hands-on experience with AWS Athena for serverless data queries.
Mastery of Apache Airflow for orchestration and pipeline management.
Extensive experience with Spark for large-scale data processing workloads.
Familiarity with Impala and Python for advanced data manipulation.
Expertise in managing AWS S3 for data lake storage solutions.
Direct experience with DynamoDB and RDS MySQL databases.
Strong knowledge of messaging services such as SQS and SNS.
Experience with EMR for high-performance big data compute workloads.
Academic background from Tier 1 or Tier 2 engineering colleges.
Prior professional experience in product-based organizations.
