SENIOR DATA OPERATIONS ENGINEER @ MY SKY SYS
The Senior Data Operations Engineer role is a 100% remote full-time contract position designed for candidates located in India. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with business partners to establish system connectivity and oversee the entire lifecycle of data pipelines, from initial collection to the final deployment of data models. This role requires a professional who can monitor pipeline performance, resolve bottlenecks, and implement process improvements through automation to enhance data integrity across various products. Key responsibilities include performing end-to-end unit testing and code reviews while advocating for a strong culture of process and data quality. The candidate must be comfortable presenting to large groups and working within an agile framework. With a contract duration of over 12 months and the possibility of extension, this role offers a stable opportunity for an expert in data warehousing and cloud optimization to contribute to high-visibility projects.
Key Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent experience.
At least five years of relevant experience in a data role working with warehouses.
Proficiency with SQL skills and database management techniques.
Experience with modern Extract/Load/Transform (ELT) orchestration tools.
Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory or Apache Airflow.
Familiarity with cloud services such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
Understanding of data warehousing solutions specifically Snowflake.
Experience with git and git-based development workflows.
Knowledge of data modeling, data warehousing, and architecture principles.
Proven track record in optimization and cost savings within cloud environments.
Strong communication skills to convey complex data issues to stakeholders.
Ability to work in an agile development methodology environment.
