LEGAL MANAGER @ MUTHOOT GROUP
Muthoot Group is seeking a dedicated and experienced Legal Manager to join their team in Hyderabad. This role is primarily focused on the financial services sector, specifically within NBFC and Banking operations, requiring a professional who can navigate complex legal landscapes. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing litigation and non-litigation matters, with a heavy emphasis on loan recovery and legal compliance. The position offers a compensation package with a CTC of up to 6.5 LPA Max, which will be finalized based on the candidate's professional experience and expertise in the field.The Legal Manager will be tasked with handling cases related to Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act and managing various arbitration proceedings. This includes drafting, filing, and coordinating with external legal counsel to ensure the company's interests are protected. Candidates must possess an LLB or LLM and have at least 3 years of relevant experience in the banking or NBFC sector. Key responsibilities also include maintaining legal MIS reports and representing the organization in courts and tribunals. This is a vital role for ensuring that all recovery-related legal actions are handled efficiently and in accordance with regulatory standards.
Key Requirements
LLB / LLM from a recognized university.
Minimum 3+ years of relevant experience in NBFC / Banking sector.
Strong knowledge of Section 138 (NI Act) and Arbitration laws.
Experience in handling recovery-related legal cases.
Handling cases related to Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act (Cheque Bounce cases).
Managing Arbitration proceedings, including drafting, filing, and follow-ups.
Coordinating with external advocates and law firms for case updates and legal strategy.
Handling litigation & non-litigation matters related to loan recovery.
Drafting legal notices, replies, agreements, and other legal documents.
Ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulatory requirements.
