Mirage Software Inc, doing business as Bourntec Solutions Inc, is currently seeking a passionate and skilled Data Engineer to join our team in Schaumburg, Illinois. This onsite role focuses on building and maintaining robust data pipelines and enterprise-grade data platforms that serve as the backbone for business intelligence and analytics across the organization. You will be responsible for the full lifecycle of data solutions, from initial architecture and ETL design to performance optimization and maintenance, ensuring that our data systems are scalable and high-performing.
In this role, you will work extensively with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), Python, and various cloud platforms to automate workflows and enhance operational efficiency. You will collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders in an Agile environment to translate complex business requirements into technical data models. Beyond technical implementation, you will perform deep-dive data analysis to uncover trends, document architectural workflows for governance, and support the modernization of legacy data systems to keep our technology stack at the cutting edge of the industry.

Key Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Data Engineering.
Proven experience designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines.
Expertise in architecting ETL workflows using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
Proficiency in building enterprise data warehouse models including star and snowflake schemas.
Advanced knowledge of SQL queries, stored procedures, and complex transformation logic.
Strong skills in Python for automation, logging, and improving operational efficiency.
Experience implementing data validation, reconciliation, and data quality frameworks.
Ability to deliver analytics-ready datasets for visualization tools like Power BI and Tableau.
Familiarity with Agile processes including sprint planning and peer code reviews.
Excellent documentation skills for data architecture, workflows, and governance standards.
