Maruthi Plastics is seeking a dynamic and result-oriented Assistant Manager for Field Sales to drive new business development and revenue growth across Chennai and the broader South India region. The ideal candidate will possess strong sales acumen, excellent relationship-building skills, and a target-driven mindset necessary to excel in a competitive industrial environment. This role involves focusing on specific customer verticals and assigned industries to ensure steady growth and market penetration. Key work locations include Mepz, Sriperumbudur Industrial Area, Oragadam Industrial Corridor, Irungattukottai Industrial Area, Maraimalai Nagar Industrial Area, Mahindra World City (SEZ), and Chengalpattu.

Key responsibilities include identifying new business opportunities, acquiring and retaining customers, and maintaining strong client relationships for long-term success. The role requires extensive travel, approximately five days a week, to visit various industrial parks and explore new markets. Candidates must be comfortable working in a high-pressure, target-oriented environment and should be proficient in Tamil to effectively communicate with local clients and stakeholders. Key Requirements

Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial sales, preferably in Industrial Consumables. Educational qualification: Any graduate degree is required. Must have proficiency in Tamil; knowledge of other South Indian languages is a plus. Demonstrated experience selling to manufacturing industry customers. Proven familiarity with industrial parks in Chennai such as Mepz and Sriperumbudur. Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work in a target-driven environment and exceed revenue goals. Willingness to travel extensively across Chennai and South India (5 days a week). Ability to identify and proactively develop new business opportunities. Experience in customer retention and building long-term business relationships.
