SENIOR NETWORK IMPLEMENTATION ENGINEER (DATA CENTER & CAMPUS) @ LANCESOFT
LanceSoft is currently seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Implementation Engineer specializing in Data Center and Campus environments for a high-impact project in Springfield, VA. This position involves a six-month contract starting in early March 2026, where the successful candidate will lead end-to-end network implementation, infrastructure upgrades, and complex troubleshooting. The role is primarily onsite and requires a professional capable of managing both the physical aspects of networking and high-level logical configurations.
The engineer will be responsible for a wide range of tasks including rack and stack operations, cabling, and the deployment of SD WAN overlays and Cisco ACI fabric constructs. Candidates must be proficient in routing and switching protocols such as OSPF, BGP, and EIGRP, and be prepared to conduct deep-dive diagnostics through packet captures and route analysis. This role requires flexibility for travel to remote sites and the ability to coordinate effectively with stakeholders to ensure seamless project delivery.

Key Requirements
7-8 years of hands-on expertise in data center and campus environments.
Extensive experience delivering end-to-end network implementation and lifecycle upgrades.
Proficiency in physical network tasks including cabling, rack and stack, and patching.
In-depth knowledge of routing/switching protocols: OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, STP, and VLANs.
Experience deploying and supporting SD WAN overlays and site onboarding procedures.
Expertise in Cisco ACI fabric constructs including tenants, VRFs, EPGs, BDs, and contracts.
Ability to manage wireless deployments, AP configuration, and RF troubleshooting.
Advanced diagnostic skills using packet captures and route analysis for root cause investigation.
Proficiency in creating technical documentation, including diagrams, cabling maps, and runbooks.
Willingness to travel to remote sites and provide off-hours support as required by the project.
