The company is actively scaling its operations following 3+ years of significant local market development and seeks a sharp, proactive Live Stream Operator to drive substantial growth within its cross-border e-commerce team based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. This role offers direct exposure to senior leadership, including the Shanghai Headquarters, and provides a fast-track pathway to potential country-level responsibilities within a proven, data-driven operation system. The position is open exclusively to Chinese Nationals, and the company offers full relocation support, including a one-time relocation bonus of RMB 5,000, along with housing and transport assistance. The base salary is paid via the China entity, with an additional overseas allowance ranging from RMB 8K to RMB 12K based on prior experience. The successful candidate will be based in Kuala Lumpur, joining an established local team with strong KOL networks and supply chain infrastructure.

The primary responsibilities involve leading the planning and execution of all TikTok live streams from conception to completion. This includes comprehensive content scripting, strategic product selection, continuous real-time optimization, and detailed post-live analysis. A core function of the role is translating performance metrics, such as GMV and conversion rates, into actionable strategies using advanced analytical tools like Excel and Power Query. Furthermore, the operator will be instrumental in collaborating across various departments extemdash inventory, marketing, and creator teams extemdash to guarantee seamless campaign delivery. A key strategic element involves adapting successful Chinese live tactics for the Malaysian demographic and building and coaching a proficient local host team to maximize viewer retention and sales conversion during peak seasonal campaigns.

Key Requirements

1–3 years of professional experience in e-commerce live streaming, preferably focused on TikTok, as domestic Douyin experience alone is insufficient. Strong analytical skills and data-savviness, including proficiency in using tools like Excel and Power Query, to analyze metrics such as GMV, conversion rates, and viewer retention. Fluency in Mandarin (Native) is required, along with professional working proficiency in English for effective cross-border collaboration. Bachelor’s degree completed in Marketing, E-commerce, Business Administration, or a closely related field. Proven ability to plan and execute comprehensive end-to-end TikTok live streams, encompassing content scripting, product selection, real-time optimization, and post-live performance analysis. Experience in building, mentoring, and coaching a local host team, with the capability to successfully adapt Chinese-style live tactics to resonate with Malaysian audiences (primarily 80% female, aged 18–35). Must be a Chinese national, willing to relocate to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, with relocation support provided by the company. Ability to lead and drive large-scale seasonal sales campaigns, such as Ramadan and 11.11, ensuring alignment with clear Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Execution-driven approach, thriving in fast-paced environments and proactively identifying data insights to drive immediate sales improvements. Experience working overseas, operating within Southeast Asian (SEA) markets, or building a new operational team from scratch (0→1) is considered a bonus.
