The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely coding of medical services and procedures using standard classification systems (e.g., ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS). A crucial part of this role involves managing the pre-approval process for insurance claims, necessitating close coordination with physicians, administrative staff, and various insurance providers to verify eligibility, benefits, and authorization requirements before treatments are rendered. This position requires a strong understanding of UAE healthcare regulations and payer guidelines. Key Requirements
Proven experience as a Medical Coder specializing in Insurance Pre-Approval.
Specific clinical experience working in Dubai.
Proficient in international coding standards (ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS).
In-depth knowledge of UAE healthcare and insurance regulations and payer guidelines.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills for liaising with insurance companies and clinical staff.
Ability to manage and process high volumes of pre-authorization requests accurately and quickly.
Certification from a recognized coding authority (e.g., CPC, CCS, or equivalent).
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in Health Information Management or a related field.
Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
