POS TESTER (POINT OF SALES) @ INFOMOUNTS
The POS Tester will be responsible for the end-to-end quality assurance of Point of Sale systems, encompassing both software functionality and hardware integration. Key responsibilities include designing, developing, and executing comprehensive test cases for manual and automated testing environments. You will be tasked with validating complex transaction processing workflows, payment gateway integrations, and the seamless operation of hardware peripherals such as scanners, printers, and card readers. Additionally, you will perform functional, regression, integration, and system testing to ensure software stability and performance across various retail or hospitality scenarios.
Beyond technical execution, the role involves identifying, documenting, and tracking software defects while collaborating closely with developers for timely resolution. You will be expected to set up and maintain test environments that accurately simulate real-world usage. Supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and assisting in the training of end-users are vital components of this position. Furthermore, as part of an onshore/offshore model, you will help train and guide offshore resources to maintain testing standards. Clear and concise documentation and reporting are required to keep all stakeholders informed of progress and quality metrics.

Key Requirements
5+ years of experience in software testing.
At least 2 years of specialized experience in POS testing within retail or hospitality domains.
Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English (written and verbal).
Strong expertise in functional testing methodologies and multilingual environment adaptation.
Extensive knowledge of software testing practices, methodologies, and modern QA tools.
Proven experience with both manual and automated testing frameworks.
Familiarity with POS hardware including registers, scanners, printers, and card readers.
Excellent communication skills for clear documentation and cross-team collaboration.
Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a distributed team.
Experience designing and executing complex test cases for transaction processing.
Capacity to support User Acceptance Testing and provide end-user training.
