HEAVY-DUTY MECHANIC SUPERVISOR @ INFINITY DEVELOPMENTS
Infinity Developments is seeking a highly skilled and disciplined Heavy-Duty Mechanic Supervisor to join our team in Zanzibar. The successful candidate will be responsible for the technical oversight of our entire fleet, which includes diagnosing, troubleshooting, and overseeing the complete overhaul of engines, transmissions, hydraulics, and electrical systems for all heavy earthmoving equipment and commercial trucks. You will be expected to provide workshop leadership by supervising a team of junior mechanics and ensuring all repairs adhere to international safety and quality standards.
Beyond technical repairs, the role involves managing preventative maintenance schedules to minimize operational downtime and overseeing the procurement of genuine spare parts. Candidates should have extensive experience with machinery such as Excavators, Dozers, Graders, and Cranes, as well as heavy-duty trucks like Actros and Scania. This position requires strong reporting skills in English and a commitment to maintaining high inventory standards for critical repairs. Shortlisted candidates will undergo a technical assessment of their diagnostic and leadership capabilities.

Key Requirements
Minimum of 10+ years of proven hands-on experience in heavy plant and truck maintenance.
Demonstrated ability to repair a wide range of machinery including Excavators, Dozers, Graders, and Cranes.
Experience with heavy-duty trucks such as Actros and Scania models.
Proficiency in using modern diagnostic tools and interpreting technical manuals and schematics.
Prior experience in a supervisory or Foreman role is essential.
Must possess a valid Driving License with appropriate classes for heavy-duty vehicles.
Proficiency in both written and verbal English for technical reporting.
Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot complex hydraulic and electrical systems.
Proven track record in implementing and managing strict preventative maintenance schedules.
Skill in managing the procurement of genuine spare parts and inventory levels.
Strong leadership capabilities to mentor and supervise junior mechanics.
Commitment to international safety and quality standards in a workshop environment.
