CORE APPLICATIONS SUPPORT @ INDSAFRI
The Core Applications Support role is a critical position within the banking sector, focused on maintaining and optimizing core banking applications and related IT infrastructure in Dar es Salaam. The successful candidate will be responsible for executing essential financial processing cycles, including daily end-of-day, monthly, and yearly closures. They will actively monitor application server health, document system issues in activity logs, and work closely with external vendors to ensure timely resolution of technical tickets.
In addition to technical maintenance, the role emphasizes strong governance and security. This includes managing user access rights across various operating systems and databases, ensuring all system changes undergo rigorous User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and proper sign-off, and maintaining detailed incident reports under the bank’s reporting framework. Candidates must demonstrate excellence in database administration and SQL scripting to support business operations and mitigate emerging technical risks within the onsite office environment.

Key Requirements
Hands-on experience with Core Banking Systems, particularly Finacle CBS v10.xxx.
Database administration knowledge and experience.
Strong understanding of Oracle SQL, PL/SQL, and Unix Shell Scripting.
Competence in process automation and reporting.
Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
4+ years of experience in supporting banking applications & IT support roles.
Ability to perform Core Banking / Treasury End-of-Day, End-of-Month, and End-of-Year processes.
Proven experience in managing vendor tickets and coordinating for timely resolution of system issues.
Proficiency in user access management, including creation, modification, and deactivation of users.
Expertise in application system change management processes and UAT sign-off documentation.
