SENIOR QUALITATIVE ANALYST (REGIONAL) @ INDEPTH RESEARCH
Indepth Research is seeking a Senior Qualitative Analyst to lead regional qualitative research efforts across East Africa. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing research tools that are culturally appropriate and gender-sensitive. This role requires overseeing fieldwork activities in multiple countries, ensuring that data collection processes are robust and ethical, particularly when engaging with vulnerable groups.
The analyst will play a critical role in synthesizing cross-country themes to generate actionable insights that inform regional policy and programming. Candidates should have extensive experience in the East African context and be prepared to travel between Uganda, Tanzania, and Rwanda as part of their duties. Key Requirements
Advanced degree in social sciences, public health, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in qualitative research.
Strong experience conducting field research within the East African context.
Proficiency in designing culturally and gender-sensitive research tools.
Ability to oversee and manage multi-country fieldwork operations effectively.
Expertise in analyzing complex cross-country qualitative themes and data.
Commitment to ethical engagement, especially with vulnerable populations.
Fluency in English and ability to work in multi-language environments.
Proficiency in qualitative data analysis software such as NVivo or ATLAS.ti.
Excellent leadership, project management, and report-writing skills.
