ROAD SAFETY SPECIALIST/TRAFFIC ENGINEER @ ICTONLINE
ICTonline is seeking a highly qualified Road Safety Specialist/Traffic Engineer for an ongoing consultancy project focused on construction supervision. This role is specifically for Lot 2 of the upgrading of the Gari-Rhamu (A13) road in Kenya. The selected professional will be responsible for overseeing traffic management and implementing road safety measures throughout the construction phase of this major highway project. This is a full-time position with a projected duration of 30 months, requiring a dedicated expert to ensure the project meets international safety standards and engineering specifications.
The successful candidate will work closely with the construction supervision team to analyze traffic patterns and mitigate risks associated with road upgrades. Key responsibilities include conducting road safety audits, designing traffic diversion plans, and ensuring that all highway features comply with modern safety regulations. Key Requirements
B.Sc. Degree in Civil Engineering.
At least ten (10) years of professional experience.
At least five (5) years of extensive experience in Traffic and Road Safety Engineering.
At least five (5) years of extensive experience on highways of similar size and complexity.
Strong knowledge of road safety audit procedures and international standards.
Proficiency in traffic modeling and analysis software applications.
Ability to commit to a full-time position for the 30-month project duration.
Experience in construction supervision for large-scale highway infrastructure.
Excellent technical report writing and communication skills in English.
Proven track record of managing road safety protocols on active construction sites.
