Hyatt Centric Sector 17 Chandigarh is looking for a creative and highly skilled Pastry Chef to lead our dessert production and baking operations. The Pastry Chef will be instrumental in elevating the culinary experience for our guests by crafting exceptional, innovative, and beautifully presented pastries, breads, and desserts across all dining outlets, banquets, and room service. This role demands both artistic flair and technical precision, coupled with strong leadership abilities to manage the pastry kitchen team.
Key responsibilities include designing unique seasonal menus, standardizing recipes to ensure consistency, managing inventory and minimizing waste, and maintaining the highest possible standards of sanitation and food quality. The ideal candidate will be passionate about patisserie, able to work collaboratively with the culinary leadership team, and committed to training and developing team members to deliver a luxury dining experience synonymous with the Hyatt brand in Chandigarh.

Key Requirements

Proven experience as a Pastry Chef in a high-volume, quality-focused establishment, preferably a luxury hotel. Expertise in a wide range of pastry techniques, including classic and modern desserts, breads, and confectioneries. Ability to create new, innovative, and seasonal dessert menus and recipes. Maintaining meticulous cleanliness and organization within the pastry section, adhering strictly to HACCP standards. Managing inventory, ordering ingredients, and controlling food costs efficiently. Training and mentoring junior pastry staff and ensuring consistent quality output. Collaborating with the Executive Chef on overall menu planning and special events. Excellent artistic skills for plating and presentation of all dessert items. Ability to handle high-pressure situations and maintain composure during busy service periods. Ensuring consistency and standardization of all production recipes.
