SYSTEM ENGINEER – EMBEDDED SYSTEMS @ HIRETALENT
We are seeking an experienced System Engineer – Embedded Systems for a 6-month W2 contract role located in Carmel, IN. This position is focused on automotive Occupant Sensing, requiring a professional who can take ownership of system-level features and lead collaboration across hardware, software, algorithm, and testing teams. You will be responsible for defining system architectures, managing data flows, and implementing fault strategies to ensure robust system performance.
The role involves deep involvement in the automotive development lifecycle, requiring proficiency with ASPICE processes and standards like Functional Safety and Cybersecurity. Candidates should have a strong background in requirements engineering and be comfortable using industry-standard tools for architecture and network analysis. Key Requirements
B.S. in Electrical Engineering or other relevant Engineering discipline.
5–7 years of experience in embedded systems or automotive engineering.
Strong expertise in requirements engineering and functional decomposition.
Ability to analyze system architectures, data flows, and state machines.
Experience with tools like DOORS, Polarion, Enterprise Architect, or Rhapsody.
Knowledge of UDS (ISO 14229) and network layers: CAN, CAN-FD, LIN, SENT.
Hands-on experience with oscilloscopes and Vector CANalyzer/CANoe.
Proficiency in structured problem-solving (5 Why, Fishbone).
Understanding of vehicle network topology, OTA, and hardware schematics.
Familiarity with ASPICE, Functional Safety, and Automotive Cybersecurity.
