SENIOR MECHANIC (DAIRY & FARM OPERATIONS) @ HATCH TALENT
We are seeking a dedicated Senior Mechanic to join our agricultural team in Iringa, Tanzania. In this role, you will report directly to the Workshop Manager and be responsible for the overall maintenance and operational integrity of our dairy and farm machinery. You will lead a team of mechanical staff, overseeing their daily tasks, conducting thorough inspections, and performing complex diagnostics to ensure that all equipment is functioning at peak efficiency. This role is vital for minimizing downtime and supporting the continuous operations of our farm.
In addition to hands-on mechanical work, you will be expected to uphold and improve workshop safety and quality standards. Collaboration is key, as you will work closely with other departments to optimize machinery performance and implement preventative maintenance schedules. Key Requirements
Diploma or qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Minimum of 8 years of experience in mechanical maintenance, particularly in dairy and farm settings.
Strong leadership and supervisory experience is advantageous.
Proven ability to conduct comprehensive machinery inspections, diagnostics, and repairs.
Ability to supervise and guide workshop mechanical staff effectively.
Commitment to maintaining high-quality standards and efficient workshop processes.
Deep knowledge of dairy-specific machinery and farm equipment operation.
Excellent troubleshooting skills for complex mechanical systems.
Ability to collaborate with team members to enhance machinery efficiency.
