FIREWALL ADMINISTRATOR @ HARVEY NASH
We are currently seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Firewall Administrator for a client located in Frankfort, KY. This role operates under a hybrid work model, requiring the successful candidate to be onsite for three days a week to ensure seamless collaboration and hardware oversight. The primary focus of this role is the management, configuration, and optimization of network security infrastructure to ensure robust protection against evolving digital threats.
The ideal candidate will possess extensive technical expertise, specifically with Palo Alto firewall systems managed through the Panorama platform. Responsibilities include monitoring network traffic patterns, implementing security policies, and troubleshooting complex connectivity or security issues. Key Requirements
At least 3 years of direct, hands-on administration of Palo Alto firewalls.
Specific experience with Palo Alto 3K and 5K hardware series.
Proven proficiency in managing firewall systems via Panorama.
Ability to comply with a hybrid schedule, including three days onsite in Frankfort, KY.
Strong understanding of network security principles and traffic analysis.
Experience in configuring and maintaining secure VPN tunnels.
Ability to troubleshoot complex network routing and security issues.
Knowledge of IP networking, including subnets and routing protocols.
Strong documentation skills for network changes and security policies.
Excellent communication skills for collaborating with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
