The Grand Hyatt Mumbai Hotel and Residences is seeking an accomplished and creative Pastry Chef to join its acclaimed culinary team. The Pastry Chef will be the driving force behind all dessert, bread, and baked goods production across the hotel’s various outlets and banqueting facilities. This role requires innovation, meticulous attention to detail, and a deep passion for pastry arts, capable of delivering exceptional quality that meets luxury standards.

Key duties include designing seasonal dessert menus, managing the pastry section's daily operations, ensuring consistency in production, and maintaining strict adherence to hygiene standards. The ideal candidate will also be responsible for staff training, managing inventory of specialized ingredients, and collaborating closely with the Executive Chef to integrate pastry offerings seamlessly into the hotel's overall dining experience.

Key Requirements

Extensive professional experience as a Pastry Chef or similar senior role, preferably in a 5-star hotel environment. Expert knowledge of pastry techniques, dessert creation, and chocolate/sugar work. Proven track record in menu development and costing for large-scale pastry operations. Strong leadership skills necessary to lead and mentor the pastry team. Exceptional creativity and presentation skills. Ability to manage inventory, supplies, and minimize waste effectively. Demonstrated understanding of food safety and hygiene regulations. Proficiency in producing various types of breads, viennoiseries, and customized cakes. Relevant certification or degree in Culinary Arts/Pastry. Must be detail-oriented and possess excellent organizational skills.
