The Grand Hyatt Mumbai is looking for a skilled Chef De Partie (CDP) to join our esteemed Pastry department. The Chef De Partie is responsible for managing a specific section within the pastry kitchen, ensuring all items produced from that station meet the rigorous quality standards of a luxury hotel. This is a crucial hands-on role requiring precision, speed, and dedication to the art of dessert making.

Key responsibilities include preparing mise en place, executing recipes accurately, maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the station, and assisting in the training of Commis Chefs. The CDP must be proficient in various pastry techniques and capable of managing production schedules efficiently while working closely with the Sous Chef and Pastry Chef to support overall kitchen goals.

Key Requirements

Minimum 2-3 years of experience as a Chef De Partie or Demi Chef De Partie in a professional pastry kitchen. Expertise in managing a specific pastry section independently (e.g., cold desserts, plated desserts, chocolate). Thorough understanding of professional pastry techniques and classical methods. Ability to follow standardized recipes accurately and consistently. Demonstrated commitment to maintaining impeccable hygiene and safety standards. Experience in training and guiding junior Commis Chefs. Strong organizational and time management skills. Relevant culinary education or apprenticeship completion. Ability to handle high-pressure service periods efficiently. Creative approach to food finishing and presentation.
