Gecko Hospitality is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Hotel General Manager for a rewarding opportunity near Rochester, Illinois. The General Manager will be responsible for setting the overall culture and operational tone of the property, ensuring that all departmental activities align with the company's commitment to exceptional service standards and guest satisfaction. This leadership position demands strategic oversight of all hotel functions, including maintenance, food and beverage, accommodations, and administrative services.
The successful candidate will be tasked with leading all daily operations, developing and mentoring department heads, and managing guest relations effectively. A key focus will be on maintaining strict service standards and optimizing operational efficiency across the board. Furthermore, the General Manager must possess strong analytical capabilities to review performance metrics, interpret financial data, and proactively implement strategic adjustments aimed at maximizing profitability and overall business outcomes. This role offers a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package, including Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, PTO, FSA & HSA, in addition to a lucrative quarterly bonus program which can reach up to 40% of the base salary.

Key Requirements

3+ years of hotel General Manager or comparable senior leadership experience. Proven record of achieving exceptional guest satisfaction and driving profitability. Strong leadership skills with the ability to set a positive property culture. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays. Experience leading, mentoring, and coaching department leaders effectively. Proficiency in analyzing hotel performance metrics and P&L statements. Skill in implementing strategic initiatives to maximize financial results and operational efficiency. Ability to oversee and manage all daily hotel operations. Commitment to maintaining and elevating established service standards.
