CATERING & PRODUCTION SOUS CHEF @ GATHERIA STUDIO
Gatheria Studio is an iconic hospitality studio producing chef-driven, design-forward events across Tampa Bay, ranging from intimate private dinners to large-scale celebrations and corporate experiences. We are looking for a Catering and Production Sous Chef who loves owning a kitchen, thinks in prep lists, and leads with a calm demeanor. This role is a unique opportunity to own the production engine of a growing culinary studio, building prep systems, leading a small team, and executing events with precision from the first cut to the final plate. Compensation for this position is between $55,000 and $65,000. This is not a traditional restaurant role but a chance for a chef to thrive in a structured environment where their craft truly matters. You will be responsible for maintaining high standards of quality and consistency while managing multiple event requirements across Tampa and Clearwater. The ideal candidate will take great pride in every plate and have the leadership skills to grow with the studio.
Key Requirements
3 to 7 years of professional kitchen experience
Previous background in catering or event production preferred
Strong organizational instincts and attention to detail
Ability to maintain a calm demeanor under high pressure
Proven experience leading and managing a small culinary team
Expertise in building and optimizing kitchen prep systems
Commitment to consistency, quality, and culinary craft
Ability to execute large-scale events with high precision
Proficiency in food safety regulations and sanitation standards
Strong communication skills for team and client coordination
