We are seeking a highly skilled Design Engineer specialized in UG NX and Gears Design to join our engineering team in Coimbatore. The successful candidate will be responsible for differential bevel gear design, focusing on macro design and micro geometry optimization using LTCA. You will utilize NX to create and modify 3D casting designs and detailed manufacturing drawings, ensuring that all outputs comply with ISO, DIN, and AGMA standards. The role involves managing the design of differential housings, washers, and internal shafts, as well as packaging internal parts and assemblies within e-axle transmissions. The Max CTC for this position is 6 LPA.

In addition to technical design, you will play a crucial role in risk assessment and failure mechanism analysis. You will collaborate closely with simulation teams for CAE/FEA analysis and work with gearset suppliers to realize prototype and series parts. Responsibilities also include releasing parts within Teamcenter and SAP environments and developing design guidelines for differential components. Effective stakeholder management across Design, Purchase, Supplier, and Quality departments is essential to ensure project timelines are met. Candidates should be available to join within 30 days and will undergo a virtual interview followed by a face-to-face round with the customer.

Key Requirements

B.E / B.Tech degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field. 3 to 5 years of professional experience in mechanical design, specifically focused on gears. Advanced proficiency in UG NX software for 3D modeling and 2D drafting. Hands-on experience with Differential Bevel Gear design and micro geometry optimization. In-depth knowledge of forged bevel gears and their various manufacturing processes. Familiarity with international engineering standards including ISO, DIN, and AGMA. Experience in designing differential housings and internal shaft assemblies for e-axle systems. Ability to conduct thorough risk assessments and analyze failure mechanisms in designs. Proven experience using Teamcenter and SAP for part release and documentation management. Strong stakeholder management skills to coordinate between Purchase, Quality, and Design teams. Ability to work within a notice period of immediate to 30 days maximum.
