TELECOMMUNICATION LEAD ENGINEER @ EQUESTEVER
Equestever is seeking an experienced Telecommunication Lead Engineer to join a leading global engineering client for a project based in Houston, TX. This role involves leading telecom design and engineering deliverables, including Material Take-Offs (MTOs), specifications, and layouts. The successful candidate will work across both FEED and detailed engineering phases within the Upstream Oil & Gas and EPC sectors. The lead engineer will be responsible for reviewing contractor deliverables to ensure compliance with quality, cost, and schedule requirements. Technical expertise in systems such as LAN/WAN, PABX, Radio (VHF/UHF/TETRA), VSAT, Fiber Optics, CCTV, PAGA, and Access Control is essential. Additionally, the role involves performing detailed system studies, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and supporting vendor evaluations and procurement activities.
Key Requirements
BE/B.Tech in Telecommunication Engineering
10 to 15 years of experience in Oil & Gas (EPC – Upstream)
Strong experience in telecom systems design and engineering
Knowledge of FEED and detailed engineering phases
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Authorized to work in the US (USC, GC, or H4 EAD)
Experience with LAN/WAN, PABX, and Radio (VHF/UHF/TETRA)
Proficiency in Fiber Optics, CCTV, PAGA, and Access Control
Ability to lead telecom design deliverables such as MTOs and specs
Experience in performing system studies including coverage and link budgets
