DATA ENGINEER (LEAD AI FOCUS) - 1 POSITION @ EPSOFT INC
EPSoft Inc is looking for a Data Engineer with a strong focus on Lead AI initiatives to join the team in Austin, Texas. In this role, you will act as a technical visionary and hands-on architect, designing and scaling production-grade Generative AI applications, RAG frameworks, and agentic workflows using the Snowflake AI Data Cloud. You will be responsible for bridging the gap between advanced data engineering and cutting-edge LLM implementations while ensuring security, governance, and high performance across all enterprise AI solutions. The role involves building and optimizing RAG pipelines grounded in enterprise data, developing Document AI solutions for unstructured data such as PDFs and images, and designing scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using Snowpark and dbt. Additionally, you will lead and mentor a team of engineers, driving the technical roadmap and implementing vector embeddings within Snowflake. This position is strictly for C2C candidates with over 7 years of relevant experience in the industry.
Key Requirements
Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in Data Engineering.
Deep expertise in Snowflake AI Data Cloud and SnowPro certifications.
Proven experience building and scaling Generative AI applications and RAG frameworks.
Advanced proficiency in Python, including pandas, scikit-learn, and Snowpark.
Expert-level knowledge of SQL for complex data manipulation.
Experience with Document AI for processing unstructured data like PDFs and images.
Knowledge of implementing vector embeddings and managing vector data within Snowflake.
Hands-on experience with orchestration tools such as Airflow or GitHub Actions.
Strong understanding of data governance, RBAC, and privacy policies.
Demonstrated leadership skills to mentor engineers and drive technical roadmaps.
